Riverine walks (south-east)

This group contains walks along all rivers whose waters flow into the North Sea between Gibraltar Point and North Foreland.

    A waymarked walk of 11km along the Beverley Brook between New Malden and the River Thames.
  • Celandine Route
    A 17km waymarked walk following the River Pinn through the London Borough of Hillingdon.
  • Chess Valley Walk
    A 16km walk following the River Chess between Chesham and Rickmansworth.
  • Colne Valley Trail
    A walk of 25km between Rickmansworth and Colnbrook.
  • Colne Valley Way
    A 10km walk between Colnbrook and Staines-upon-Thames.
  • Darent Valley Path
    A 31km walk in the Darent Valley between Sevenoaks (or Chipstead) and the River Thames.
  • Eden Valley Walk (Kent)
    A 24km route through the Eden valley in Kent between Tonbridge and Edenbridge.
  • Lark Valley Path
    A 24km route between Mildenhall and Bury St Edmunds.
  • Lea Valley Walk
    A 93km walk following the River Lea between its source at Leagrave and its outflow into the River Thames at Trinity Buoy Wharf.
  • Medway Valley Walk
    A 45km walk between Tonbridge and Rochester, following the course of the River Medway.
  • Mole Gap Trail
    A 10km walk linking Leatherhead and Dorking stations.
  • Nar Valley Way
    A 53km walk between King’s Lynn and Gressenhall.
  • Pymmes Brook Trail
    A 22km waymarked walk between Monken Hadley and Tottenham Hale, following the course of the Pymmes Brook.
  • Thames Path

    A walk of 440km between Greenwich and the river’s source.
  • Ver Valley Trail
    A 28km walk from Kensworth Lynch to Bricket Wood.
  • Ver-Colne Valley Walk
    A walk of 24km from Redbourn to Watford.
  • Wandle Trail
    A 22km waymarked walk along the full length of the River Wandle between Croydon and Wandsworth. Route distance is measured between East Croydon and Wandsworth Town stations.
  • Wensum Way
    A 20km walk between Gressenhall and Lenwade.
