Poole Harbour Trail
This 63km route encircles Poole Harbour: the conventional start-point is Poole station. There are bus connections on or near the route between Poole and Lytchett Minster, and between Shell Bay and Poole. There are rail and bus connections at Wareham.

Observations
The section between Lytchett Minster and Wareham may be broken into two shorter walks, the second of which is the loop to the east of Wareham.
Walkers should note that there is no transport connection on the 20km section between Wareham and Shell Bay, though there is a 3km link from South Middlebere (just west of Sharford Bridge) to the Corfe Castle Welcome Centre, which is on a main bus route. This creates two sections of 12km and 14km respectively.
