Walked — May 2019

This route, one of the radial Get out of London! routes, actually crosses the Hertfordshire Way at South Mimms, but the route continues to the rail and bus stations in Hatfield, for ease of connections. After heading north to Finsbury Park, the route shifts west through Highgate Woods and Hampstead Garden Suburb to pick up the Dollis Valley, then pressing on north beyond Barnet via South Mimms. The total distance is a little over 46km, but with transport links, it will come out to around 50km, with a little over 450m ascent.
The route is described in a single document: the maps are referenced by section below. Public transport connections are available throughout, and the route is accessible from anywhere in the Greater London conurbation.
