Get out of London! South-west to Guildford

This route, one of the radial Get out of London! routes, starts by going through St James’s Park to Victoria, and on via Battersea Park to Clapham Common. It crosses the River Wandle at Earlsfield, then reaches Old Malden by way of Wimbledon Common. The Hogsmill and Bonesgate valleys are followed up to Ashtead Common, and the route crosses the M25 to Leatherhead before continuing via Horsley and Clandon to Guildford station, where the North Downs Way is a short step along the Wey South Path from the station. The distance is something over 60km, with a little over 400m ascent. Public transport connections are available throughout, and the route is accessible from anywhere within the Greater London conurbation.

1: Trafalgar Square to Coombe Lane — 16.8km; 116m ascent
Parkland predominates, including a crossing of Wimbledon Common at the end, with suburban streets
