Description
This gentle walk starts by going through a small part of the vast and fascinating Brookwood Cemetery, which used to have its own railway stations and direct trains to the chapels from a special terminus near Waterloo: the cemetery visit could last all day. If you think the cemetery is large, just think on the fact that the London Necropolis Company sold off nearly 90% of its cemetery land unused, much of which is now covered by golf courses. The route then describes an arc, majoring on commons and woodland, finally picking up the banks of the Hoe Brook to follow a green line to the centre of Woking.
