Description

The Thames Path can find the line of least resistance between Henley and Maidenhead, but this route via Cockpole Green and Ashley Hill has much more variety. At the start, the route climbs Remenham Hill, for the most part keeping away from the main road. Thereafter, there is a lot of sharing the Chiltern Way through woodland and farmland as far as Maidenhead Thicket (via the pub along the route) before a suburban wind-down (using paths as much as possible) to end at Maidenhead station.
