  • Total ascent: 229m
  • Naismith time: 2h 33m

  • Ticketing: Day return to Tisbury
  • Intermediate transport: none

A walk farther from London than most in this list, with a relatively short circuit deep in Wiltshire. The route rises through field and forest to the ruin of Old Wardour Castle, then descends via its replacement to reach the Nadder valley and the approach to Tisbury. The refreshment options in Tisbury are close to the route on the way to the station (where — caveat ambulator — the pub symbolised on the map is now closed).
