Coal Tax Circuit

A 315km walk which links up the markers which delineate the 1860s boundary, within which imports of coal and wine were taxed by the City of London Corporation.

Public transport connections (73 locations) proliferate throughout, with only three gaps of greater than 10km — to the east and west of Potters Bar, and to the west of Swanley. The entire walk is accessible from any point in the Greater London conurbation.
