Centenary Walk (Epping Forest)

Length: 24km (walked 2010-17)

Ambresbury Banks, Epping Forest
Ambresbury Banks, Epping Forest

This walk transits the length of the Corporation of London’s Epping Forest, and is almost entirely off-road, through forests and across fields. It may be walked in either direction: we prefer the southbound route for a one-day bash, since it gives more escape-points later in the walk (and it’s downhill). Others prefer a northbound route.

To a great extent, the northbound route is coincident with the north-eastern Get out of Town! route between Wanstead Park and Epping.
