Length — 95km (walked in 2015)

The Twentepad is a Streekpad (district path) which links the towns of Almelo, Oldenzaal, Ootmarsum and Tubbergen in a circuit. The route is well served by the 64 bus on the northern arc between Oldenzaal and Almelo: the options from Hertme in the south are a bit more hazy. The public-transport portal 9292 will always have the most up-to-date information. I walked this route in 2015, and have produced route-notes in English for an anti-clockwise perambulation.
The guide-book (in Dutch) is published by Wandelplatform-LAW (ISBN 9789071068676) and was last updated in 2006. It is invaluable for the maps, and no Twentepad walker should be without it The path’s website allows you to select sections to view (along with variations since the publication of the latest edition of the book).
