The Circumcardinal rises again
A day out, back on the big circular route, by fields and forests (and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award groups) across the wonderful Chiltern Hills from Hemel Hempstead to Chalfont St Giles, touching three valleys: Bulbourne, Chess and Misbourne.
Spring in the Chilterns
An excellent spring day out in the Chilterns, back on the circumcardinal route — the stretch from Flamstead to Hemel Hempstead.

A couple of hours’ walk on an autumn morning: Hatfield to St Albans.
Traversing Essex
During August 2021 and the surrounding days, I completed the Essex Way from Harwich to Epping, and crossed the county from Southend to Epping, the latter route as the first part of a huge circuit of London (via Hatfield, Maidenhead and Gatwick).
